Steve Swiggers

Steve Swiggers is a Senior Architect with over 25 years of international experience across architecture, urban design, research, and practice in Europe and Australia.

Educated as a Civil Engineer–Architect at the University of Leuven, he has worked on a wide range of projects including housing, public buildings, urban regeneration, and large-scale mixed-use developments. His professional background spans leading architectural practices in Belgium and the Netherlands, as well as independent research-driven work focused on urban transition, social change, and innovation.

Steve has played key roles from concept design through to detailed documentation and delivery, often acting as lead designer or project architect. His work is characterised by a strong conceptual approach combined with pragmatic, buildable solutions.
