Peace Lutheran College Performing Arts Centre

The Peace Lutheran College Kamerunga Campus Performing Arts Centre is a purpose-built secondary schooling facility seeking to cater for a diverse performing arts curriculum.  Catering for dance, drama, music and instrumental performance, the building is intended to offer a variety of learning and teaching opportunities to respond to strong on-going demand in this area.

The building is approximately 900m² and occupies a prominent siting at the arrival of the College adjacent to other public interface buildings.  The building form is consistent in proportion and finish to adjacent buildings.  Decorative elements of the building elevation seek to reflect the theatrical function of the building whilst also providing relief from the elements.

Learning areas have been intentionally designed to enable flexibility of programme delivery, typically restricted within similar performance venues. The simple forms of the building discreetly conceal the complexity of function requirements of the venue.
