JCU Tropical Enterprise Centre (CTEC)
The James Cook University (JCU) Tropical Enterprise Centre is the foundation building of a larger community centred precinct for health and innovation in Cairns North.
Located within immediate proximity of the Cairns Hospital, CTEC is a multi-level, 3500m2 building incorporating medical teaching spaces. CTEC is the first mass timber commercial construction outside of south-east Queensland. Together with the biophilic design principles, the unique glulam and cross laminated timber construction provides for a high-quality teaching, studying and work environment.
CTEC is another collaboration between Wilson Architects and CP Architects.
